Actually I tried your easysell@hotmail.it and it does not work neither via PHP nor Thunderbird. So, either the password is wrong or hotmail.it accounts cannot send messages via SMTP.

I suspect that when you tried sending messages via Thunderbird, you are not setting it to send via smtp.live.com but rather some other SMTP server.

BTW, I discovered your hotmail.it account because you posted the part of the SMTP dialog that contains the user and password encoded in base64. If that is your real account, I suggest that you change the password now.

i didn't know also the password was written in the html debug! however thanks, i just changed the password even if that account is not used! Sorry if i posted many times but as u saw the problem really exists and it is really weird because the smtp should be the same for every domain, .com, .it, .es, .fr.....If someone knows something about this, please let us know!

Actually I tried logging in with the same user name and password and it fails. So the password is definetely is wrong. That is the problem. You need to use the right password.
